Life Cycle of a Butterfly

The butterfly catterpillar will wriggle the last time and the skin will slowly turn inside out and a hard shell will apear. It wriggles till the skin covers the catterpillar up.

It is amazing to know that one butterfly lays 700 eggs at a time!
NO wonder the garden is full of butterflies!!!

A catapiller is also called a larva
The 2 stage is the larva stage

when the catterpillar is cacoon(pupa)the cacoon(pupa)the cacoon(larva)gets more transparent when it grows

When the egg hatches it turns into a larva. the larva eats leaves like lime leaves and orange leaves. so the larva spins to the chrysalis. adlin

The female butterfly lays egg on a leaf.The eggs hatches into a Caterpillar.Caterpillars eat lot's of leaves.The Caterpillar transforms into a pupa.The Caterpillar changes into a butterfly inside a pupa. It comes out as an adult butterfly.

The mother butterfly lay about 7,000 eggs.

When the larva hatches it eats it egg shell.

I was amazed that the larva grows 27,000 times its body starting from its birth. I did not know that they eat their egg shells too.
